Rinse the rice

How to cook basmati rice?
Add 1 cup of Basmati rice to a bowl of water
Cover and allow it to soak for 20 minutes.
Drain and rinse with cold water then add 2 cups of water to one cup of rice on a pan.
Bring it to a boil and let it simmer for 10-12 minutes.
Remove lid and let the rice stand for 5 minutes before serving.
