Overview
University Road, located in the West of Pune in Maharashtra. It is one of the developed locality and comes under the jurisdiction of Pune Municipal Corporation. Its official name is Ganesh Khind Road. It is one of the widest and best constructed roads in Pune. This road starts from the Indian Meteorological Department (also called Shimla office) intersection and ends at the University of Pune Circle. University road has four lanes throughout, and at places it is even six lanes wide. Pune University, Sadhu Vaswani Nagar, Chavan Nagar, Bhosale Nagar, Pashan, Gokhale Nagar, Shivaji Nagar, Bopodi Aundh, Khadki and Baner are its neighboring localities. Several important institutions such as SSC Board, The Bank Of Maharashtra Head Office, The agriculture College, Catering College, The Govt. Polytechnic Pune are on this road.
