Where do curries come from…..?
Well its Indian Subcontinent….. Curry comes from the Tamil word khari, or spiced sauce , which was originally a thin, soup-like, spiced dressing served in southern India, amongst many other stew-like dressings for meat and vegetables. There are various preparations of fish in the form of curry.
Fish curry is a blend of flavours distilled from Chinese and Portuguese origin, in the late 18th century traders and migrants from these countries brought together these special flavours.
